APPEAL OF HEARING DECISIONS OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA MUST BE MADE TO THE SUPERIOR COURT WITHIN 90 CALENDAR DAYS OF FINAL ACTION.  BECAUSE OF THE AGENDA PROVISION FOR RECONSIDERATION, FINAL ACTION IS DEEMED TO OCCUR AT THE END OF THE NEXT REGULAR MEETING. (CODE OF CIVIL PROCEDURE SECTION 1094.6)

A.         Possible Reconsideration of Actions Taken at Immediately Preceding Meeting.  (See Summary of Actions which is attached to the posted Agenda for potential reconsideration).

 

4.         NEW BUSINESS:

 

A.         Approval of an Acquisition Loan Agreement with Silicon Valley Habitat for Humanity, Inc. in the amount of $780,000 to finance the land acquisition of 2255 Gianera Street for the Gianera Street Phase II Project for purposes of constructing at least six single family homes affordable for very low income families.

 

B.        Approval of a $1,800,000 transfer from the Affordable Housing Fund and to appropriate $1,000,000 to establish a newly created account for the First Time Homebuyer Program - Condo Conversion project and to appropriate $800,000 to the existing First Time Homebuyer Financing Program to meet the demand for assistance for the balance of the fiscal year.

 

C.        Set October 5, 2004 for the Public Hearing to consider an amendment to the Redevelopment Agency's Implementation Plan to include language encouraging the use of Affordable Housing Funds to meet the City's 10% affordable requirement and authorization to publish the Notice of the Public Hearing.

 

5.         PUBLIC PRESENTATIONS:  The law does not permit Agency action on, or extended discussion of, any item not on the agenda except under special circumstances.
