MINUTES OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF
THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA FOR MEETING
HELD ON TUESDAY EVENING, FEBRUARY 9, 2010

 

 

     The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Clara met at 10:55 pm, on the above-mentioned date, for the regular scheduled meeting in the City Hall Council Chambers.

 

     Present: Agency Members Dominic J. Caserta, Will Kennedy, Joe Kornder, Jamie L. Matthews, Jamie McLeod and Kevin Moore and Chairperson Patricia M. Mahan.

 

 

 

     MOTION was made by Matthews, seconded and unanimously carried, that the Minutes for the meeting held on January 12, 2010 be adopted as written.

 

 

 

     MOTION was made by Matthews, seconded and unanimously carried, that, per the Assistant City Manager’s memo (02/04/10), the Agency approve an appropriation of $390,000 in Redevelopment Agency contractual services (account 901-9011-87870-[A]-49010) and transfer from Redevelopment Agency available tax increment revenue (account 941-9011-50100) for funds to place a ballot measure pertaining to a proposed National Football League (NFL) stadium in Santa Clara on the June 8, 2010 ballot.

 

 

 

     MOTION was made by Matthews, seconded and unanimously carried, that, per the Housing and Community Services Division Manager’s memo (01/12/10), the Agency authorize and approve the transfer of $461,609 from the Unallocated Housing Set-Aside Fund (account 910-9041-80010-9100) to the Bill Wilson Center The Commons Project (account 910-5545-80300-9182-[G]RDA) and direct the Executive Director to prepare Loan Agreements additional financing to The Commons Project, including converting the Agency’s existing temporary loan to a permanent loan.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

     The Assistant City Attorney – Alexander Abbe noted that the Closed Session agendized for this evening’s meeting at 6:00 pm in the Council Conference Room for a Conference with Real Property Negotiator pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8 regarding Property: APN 104-43-051, APN 104-43-052, APN 104-43-030, APN 104-42-014 and APN 104-42-019; Negotiating Party(ies): Cedar Fair and the San Francisco 49ers; Agency Negotiator: Jennifer Sparacino, Executive Director (or her designee); Under Negotiation:  Purchase/ Sale/ Exchange/ Lease of Real Property (provisions, price and terms of payment) was not held.

 

 

     MOTION was made by Matthews, seconded and unanimously carried, that, per the Interim Agency General Counsel’s memo (02/05/10), the Agency set Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 6:00 pm for a Closed Session in the Council Conference Room for a Conference with Real Property Negotiator pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8 regarding Property: APN:104-43-051; APN:104-43-052; APN:104-43-030; APN:104-42-014; and APN:104-42-019; Negotiating Party(ies): Cedar Fair and the San Francisco 49ers; Agency Negotiator: Jennifer Sparacino, Executive Director (or her designee); Under Negotiation: Purchase/ Sale/ Exchange/ Lease of Real Property (provisions, price and terms of payment).

 

 

 

     MOTION was made by Matthews, seconded and unanimously carried, that there being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:57 pm to Tuesday evening, February 16, 2010 at 6:00 pm for a Closed Session in the Council Conference Room and to 7:00 pm for the regular scheduled meeting in the City Hall Council Chambers.
