Acceptance of the resignation of Todd Fitch from the Planning Commission, effective August 27, 2012; declaration of a vacancy on the Commission for the partial term ending June 30, 2014; approval to set Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 5:00 pm as the deadline for the receipt of applications with interviews to be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 during the regular scheduled Council meeting; and approval of the promotion of the vacancy during this evening's Council meeting.

 

C.

Approval to appoint one applicant to fill a vacancy on the Housing Rehabilitation Loan Committee for the full term ending June 30, 2016.

Approval for the use of City Electric forces for the installation of facilities at 777 Lawrence Expressway and 2885 Kaiser Drive.

Approval to set the salary for Nancy Tacchella, Permit Technician, at Schedule A-23, Step 2.

Approval and authorization to publish the November 2012 Mission City SCENES.

4.

Approval of the proposed topics schedule for the 2013 Mission City SCENES and Utility Bill Inserts.

Adoption of the 2012 Employer Negotiation Principles and authorization to execute and distribute to the employee organizations.

Approval of the draft response to the 2011-12 Santa Clara County Civil Grand Jury's final report, "An Analysis of Pension and Other Post Employment Benefits" and authorization to finalize the response and transmit to the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court.

Approval of an Agreement for the Performance of Services with Koffler Electrical Mechanical Apparatus Repair, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $200,000, for electric motor repair and maintenance at the Electric Generation Facilities.

2.

Approval of Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement for Services with Yosh Enterprises, Inc., DBA Orion Security Patrol, in an amount not to exceed $70,000 for Fiscal Year 2012-13 for a total not to exceed amount of $210,000, for security staff services at Central Park Library.

3.

Approval of an Agreement for Design Professional Services with BKF Engineers, in an amount not to exceed $232,343, for the Mission College Boulevard/Great America Parkway Improvement Project (CE 04-05-06) and authorization to make minor, non-substantive modifications, if necessary.

4.

Approval of Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement for the Performance of Services with Peckham and McKenney, Executive Search and Consulting, in an amount not to exceed $37,000 for a total amount not to exceed $62,000, for the recruitment of Accounting Services Division Manager and Assistant Director of Water and Sewer Utilities.

5.

Approval of an Agreement and Covenant Running with Land [Deferment of Public Improvements (Public Sidewalk)] (Along frontage of Property) with 3111-3141 Coronado Drive Associates to defer the installation of City standard sidewalk along the frontage of 3111 Coronado Drive and authorization to record the Agreement with the County Recorder (APN 216-29-116; SC 18,578).

Approval of an Agreement for the Performance of Services with Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc., in an estimated amount of $216,000, for workers' compensation claims administration services.

Approval of Amendment No. 3 to the Agreement for Services with Victor W. Fung, in an amount not to exceed $79,396, for fire records management system maintenance and technical support for the specialized Fire Department software services.

Request to initiate the Meet and Confer process with California Department of Finance regarding its review of the Housing Asset List as submitted by the City of Santa Clara, acting as the Successor Agency to the former City of Santa Clara Redevelopment Agency.

Approval of a Monitoring Well Encroachment Agreement (Public Property or Public Right-of-Way) with Advanced Geoenvironmental, Inc. to construct and maintain one groundwater monitoring well within the Victor Street public right-of-way across from 404 Aldo Avenue (APN 101-15-010; SC 18,582).

Approval of estimated revenue and appropriation of Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) funds, in the amount of $562,860, for the Benton Street-Pomeroy Avenue Traffic Signal Modifications and Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Project and approval to transfer funds required, in the amount of $68,000, for the local match for the project.

 

D.

Approval of the Fourth Amendment to the Master Contract for Senior Nutrition Services with the County of Santa Clara, in an amount not to exceed $149,664, for the Senior Nutrition Program to provide congregate meals at the Santa Clara Senior Center and approval to appropriate an increased budget allocation of $13,812 in both revenues and expenditures.

Approval of the appropriation and transfer of $230,000 to the Substation Rebuild Capital Improvement Project 2110 and approval of Change Order No. 5 with Rosendin Electric, in the amount of $100,906.89, for Public Works Contract 2110A - Walsh/Uranium Substation Construction Project.
